
Hyde Square Task Force, a nonprofit organization based in Boston, is dedicated to empowering youth through arts, culture, and community leadership. Their mission is to nurture and amplify the voices, creativity, and power of youth by grounding them in Afro-Latin culture so they can advance justice in their communities. Enhancing and Customizing Hyde Square Task Force’s Salesforce Data Model
To strengthen their volunteer and program management processes, Hyde Square Task Force partnered with North Peak to expand and optimize their existing Salesforce CRM system. The team was already using Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) along with a basic data model for managing volunteer information and program participation.
Building out the ability to manage our volunteer and program participant onboarding processes within Salesforce makes things much more centralized and easy to track over time. We’ll now be more equipped to reflect on how our recruitment and enrollment processes work and where the pain points might be to drive improvement.
North Peak made key improvements by enhancing the data model to support advanced volunteer enrollment, onboarding, and attendance tracking. They also streamlined complex workflows, resulting in a more intuitive system that improves day-to-day usability for staff.
Before we had Salesforce NPSP we were doing everything in separate, disconnected Google Sheets. This was time consuming and made it extremely difficult to track program participation over time. Now that we have been using NPSP for a while, and with the recent updates made by North Peak, we are able to easily pull reports and review data that clearly shows the impact of our work over the years. The database is now a reliable source of truth for the organization as a whole.
